There are so many benefits to living in the Sandgate area that if we were to list them all we would be here all day. Apart from the wonderful facilities, beautiful bay and lovely locals, Sandgate is also well known for the major community events and special celebrations held throughout the year. There’s the Bluewater Festival, Einbunpin Festival, Music by the Sea and Unplugged Cafe to name a few. All these events are a coming together of local community and visitors to the area. The Bluewater Festival is Sandgate’s next major event and it starts on Thursday 28th March at 4pm with the Bluewater Bayfire Night. You will enjoy markets, live entertainment, stalls, carnival rides, and of course the Fireworks at 7.30pm. Come back the next day (Good Friday) at 9am to witness the start of Australia’s Second biggest yacht race, the Brisbane to Gladstone, then stay end enjoy more wonderful food, entertainment and family activities.
